Crypto News | Take-Two branded SEC filings push GTA VI Solana currency linked to memecoin trading Liam ‘Akiba’ Wright | usagoldmines.com

Two public-comment PDFs on a US Securities and Exchange Commission docket describe a proposed Grand Theft Auto VI currency called Sharkbux and a possible implementation on Solana. The PDFs display Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games branding, but corporate authorization of the submissions remains unresolved.

At most, the PDFs put an unauthenticated proposal into the public record. Any Rockstar crypto plan for GTA VI remains unproven. While it appears likely to be an attempt to pump an unaffiliated memecoin, there are limits to what can be inferred from a Solana wallet named in one of the files.

The documents describe a proposed GTA VI currency

The SEC docket index lists an Aug. 24 comment under the name Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. A separate SEC-hosted PDF, dated Aug. 18, describes Sharkbux as a proposed currency for the GTA VI ecosystem.

According to the Aug. 18 document, ordinary players would not be able to transfer Sharkbux freely. The company would limit transfers to company-mediated mechanisms, while approved creators could redeem earned units through a separate company-controlled program.

A supplemental PDF, dated Aug. 24, identifies itself as a clarification of the earlier proposal. It says Take-Two is considering an SPL-token architecture on Solana, subject to legal and operational considerations.

However, the supplement identifies no official token mint, mint authority, freeze authority, transfer-control program, or completed deployment. Its wording describes a possible technical architecture, not an approved build, completed integration, or scheduled token launch.

Taken together, the PDFs describe a restricted in-game currency and a possible blockchain design, but neither establishes that a Solana integration has been completed.

The on-chain trail does not authenticate an issuer

The supplement names a Solana wallet, but the address does not establish who wrote or authorized the document. On Aug. 25, Solscan showed the named wallet holding 600,000 units of a newly created TAKE2 token.

The explorer tagged the token as “Meme” and “Pump.fun,” but displayed no public Take-Two label authenticating the wallet or token. That trail still stops short of tying the wallet or token to GTA VI, Sharkbux, Take-Two, or Rockstar. And, if anything, it points more likely toward someone using the public SEC record to attempt to promote a memecoin.

Take-Two’s Aug. 7 earnings release and Rockstar’s GTA VI product page confirm the game’s Nov. 19, 2026 release date on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Neither source discloses Sharkbux, a Solana integration, an official mint, or timing for a GTA VI online component.

Without a clear sign-off from Take-Two or Rockstar, the SEC-hosted files remain claims on a docket, not proof that either company filed them or is preparing a Solana currency. The live wallet and the token activity around it leave that question unanswered.
