We talked earlier in the week about Google updating several Pixel app icons to a new gradient style. Those updates included the Camera, Settings, Thermometer, and Clock, but today, they’ve given us another two.
On your Pixel phone, be on the lookout for updates on Google Play to the Calculator and My Pixel apps, as they’ve both been blessed with fancy new icons.
We’ve captured them above, but you can see that we once again get the subtle new gradient styling that Google has chosen for Pixel icons. The Calculator app is also switching to a green color palette.
For the My Pixel app, Google has replaced the previous blue gradient icon that showed a default Pixel phone with one that apparently matches the color of your Pixel 11. For example, the icon you see here is from my Pixel 11 Pro in Obsidian, while the icon on my review Pixel 11 Pro XL in Olive is indeed an Olive icon. That’s kind of neat. Hopefully, they backwards expand that to older Pixel phones.
It’s 2026 and we’re all-the-way-in on gradients again. I’m not sure how I feel about it.
