Analysts Watch Key Support Levels

Crypto analyst Rekt Capital said in a Sept. 23 post that Bitcoin was meeting resistance around $86,700. He described the resistance as “nothing too convincing for the time being.”

Rekt Capital said Bitcoin needs to stay above roughly $82,000, or retest that area in a dip, to remain set up for further gains. He added that the breakout from the old $60,000–$80,000 range is not fully confirmed until $80,000 is tested as support.

Bitfinex Alpha sees $85,000 to $86,500 as the largest recent buyer cost range. About 633,000 BTC last changed hands in that zone.

The firm said holding this range could put $90,000 in view if ETF inflows continue. A sustained move below $81,300, especially with ETF outflows, would challenge its reading of the breakout.

On the one-hour chart, Bitcoin’s RSI stood at 39.38. The Money Flow Index was 37.71, pointing to weaker short-term momentum.

ETF Inflows and Whale Buying Continue

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs drew $346.98 million in net inflows on Sept. 23, according to SoSoValue data. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $166.29 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $143.24 million.

That marked five straight days of inflows. The streak brought in roughly $2.65 billion, including about $999 million on Sept. 21, the largest daily figure since October 2025.

Santiment reported that wallets holding 100 to 1,000 BTC added 113,950 BTC between July 15 and Sept. 23. The group now holds about 5.24 million BTC.

Corporate buyers also stepped in. Strategy bought 950 BTC for $75.7 million in the week ending Sept. 20, lifting its holdings to 846,000 BTC. Strive added 1,355 BTC between Sept. 14 and 18.

CryptoQuant analyst Amr Taha said Binance Bitcoin open interest fell from $5.4 billion to $4.9 billion between Sept. 21 and 23. He said leveraged traders cut risk after Bitcoin failed to hold near $87,000.

Binance funding rates sat near 0.001%, close to neutral, according to a separate CryptoQuant update.

Bitfinex said the share of Bitcoin supply held at a profit rose to 78.2% on Sept. 22, up from 63% on Sept. 17. The analysts want this figure to stay above 75% during the first correction.

Bitfinex places the next price test at Bitcoin’s yearly open of $87,722. The ETF investor cost basis sits near $86,000, while corporate buyers’ average cost is about $80,500.
