American Horror Story is returning for its thirteenth season, and this one feels more epic than ever before. A lot of characters are back from iconic previous installments, like Coven, for something so dark that it requires their collective strengths. A previous teaser gave us a quick glimpse into what to expect, but now the full trailer for American Horror Story: 13 dives into how truly dark this round will be.Â
Greats like Cordelia Goode, Constance Langdon, Marie Laveau, and Madison Montgomery join forces against something truly sinister. Is it the Devil himself or something perhaps even worse? We don’t know but we do know that Twisty the Clown is going to drum up some scares as well. And yes, we welcome the return of Papa Legba, although it does make us sad that Lance Reddick is no longer here to portray that character. However, we do get Orlando Jones in the role, so we know he will honor Reddick’s legacy.
The trailer for American Horror Story: 13 has a lot going on, perhaps a bit too much, but that’s how these seasons usually work. Many plots, twists, and turns somehow meld together for a chaotic finale. Let’s see if American Horror Story can still prove that it is peak horror television when this season premieres on September 24 with its first three episodes.
It will have some seasonal competition, including Carrie and Crystal Lake, and we hope that all three of them bring something unique to this Nerdoween.
