Digital evidence that Samsung might release two sizes for the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra is now available on the web. Back in April of this year, I wrote a piece on how I would totally buy a smaller Galaxy Ultra device. Do I truly have this much influence over Samsung? I’m going with, “Yes, absolutely!”
Posted by Sonny Dickson, computer-generated renders based on dimensions for the Galaxy S27 Ultra are able to be looked over. The images show two sizes. We don’t have the exact dimensions, but it’s easy to tell between the two when you look at the phone’s volume rocker in relation to the camera housing.
We also don’t yet know if there will actually be two sizes of the Galaxy S27 Ultra or if one of these phones is the rumored Galaxy S27 Pro. There is still quite a bit of time before we get any real confirmation on this. My gut says that Samsung is seeing the positive response to a different form factor in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and doesn’t mind experimenting with multiple size options for the Ultra model.
Initial reactions from the public are along the lines of, “Why is Samsung copying the iPhone 17 Pro?” I can see that, they aren’t far off base. The backside is quite similar to the iPhone 17 Pro. However, a benefit of this design would be how the phone sits on a flat surface. If we can get away from the constant rocking on a table, I’m all for it.
