Galaxy S27 Lineup Gets Silicon Carbon, Boosted Capacities Tim | usagoldmines.com

Customers have long been clamoring for a taste of silicon carbon from Samsung. This year, the newest foldables from Samsung adopted silicon carbon, and so far, testing has been good. It appears that same battery tech upgrade is also inbound for members of the Galaxy S27 lineup, including the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra.

According to GalaxyClub, who have a terrific track record of providing accurate battery specs ahead of anything official, these two new phones will launch with much higher capacities, leading to better battery life for buyers.

Galaxy S27 Pro is listed to come with a rated capacity of 5,087mAh, which will be marketed as a capacity of 5,200mAh. Galaxy S27 Ultra will be marketed with a capacity of 5,700mAh, but a rated capacity of 5,534mAh. These are significant jumps in capacity when compared to the bumps we’ve seen for the past few years.

No battery details are yet available for Galaxy S27 and S27+.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold batteries significantly outperform previous generations, lasting up to 32% longer in testing. If the new cells found in the S27 series are similar, then we should see some very good battery life in 2027.
