Interoperable Layer-1 blockchain Injective announced that Google Cloud is now a validator for the Injective network.
According to the press release shared with Cryptonews, the move will boost the network’s security, reliability, and credibility. As a validator, Google Cloud will assist in securing the network, validate transactions, and contribute to the decentralization and robustness of the ecosystem.
Furthermore, Injective will utilize Google Cloud’s protocol accelerator tools through the Google Cloud Web3 Portal. The latter offers developer tools, educational modules, testnet faucets, indexed data, and other features for blockchains to improve developer experience.
Also, the team will host its Injective Developer suite on Google Cloud, which they say will help increase developer adoption.
Finally, Injective will host an AI Agent Hackathon in collaboration with Google Cloud, ElizaOS, and DoraHacks. It will allow developers to use Injective’s AI Agent builder, iAgent, to build unique AI Agent use cases across finance, the team says.
“All of these additions contribute to making it easier for Web2 and Web3 developers to build, launch, and grow applications on Injective,” the announcement argues.
Notably, Google Cloud provides Web3 services for a small group of protocols. Besides Injective, these include blockchains like Polygon and BNB.
Comprehensive Suit to Attract Developers
This latest collaboration will accelerate decentralized app (dapp) development, thus attracting Web2 and Web3 developers and enterprises and increasing adoption.
Developers can already access Google Cloud’s suite of Web3 solutions. This includes the Web3 Faucet, which provides INJ testnet tokens to facilitate dapp development and testing on Injective.
Furthermore, the teams will add new Injective-related content to Google Cloud’s Web3 learning portal. This is an educational platform that offers resources such as case studies and tutorials teaching developers how to utilize solutions and capabilities from Google Cloud and its Web3 partners.
Injective’s blockchain data is now also accessible via Google Cloud’s BigQuery public data sets, thanks to the integration Injective Nexus announced in October 2023. Developers now have access to the entire blockchain state, financial and transaction data, updated in real-time with more dashboards for curated data, the team says.
“Injective data on BigQuery paves the way for building advanced DeFi applications, machine learning models, and institutional trading strategies,” says the announcement.
Meanwhile, according to DeFiLlama, at the time of writing, the chain had a total value of $30.92 million (TVL).
At the same time, the INJ coin is up 4.1% in a day, currently trading at $10.98. It appreciated 14% in a week, while it dropped 28% in a month and 73% in a year.
It hit its all-time high of $52.62 in March 2024, decreasing by 79% since.
In late February, Injective welcomed Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiary as an official validator on its network.
