In Chrome versions 150.0.7871.114/115 for Windows and macOS, and 150.0.7871.114 for Linux, released on July 8th, the developers have fixed 27 security vulnerabilities, some of which are critical. According to Google, none of them are being exploited in the wild. Just one day earlier, Google also released Chrome 150.0.7871.100/101 without publishing any details about the security vulnerabilities that were fixed.
In the Chrome Releases blog post, Daniel Yip lists the 27 security vulnerabilities that have been fixed here. He states that Google discovered 24 of these vulnerabilities itself, while the other vulnerabilities were identified and reported by external security researchers. Google awarded them a total of $3,000 in bounties.
Two of the vulnerabilities are classified as critical: CVE-2026-15112 and CVE-2026-15129. Both are use-after-free (UAF) vulnerabilities in various components, in this case in Ozone and Views. A further 23 vulnerabilities are classified as high risk, and two as medium risk. With 13 UAF vulnerabilities, this category is once again the most prevalent.
Last week, Google released the newest major version Chrome 150, fixing over 400 security vulnerabilities, including many classified as critical.
Chrome usually updates automatically when a new version is available. You can manually check for updates via the menu option Help → About Google Chrome. Google also released Chrome for Android 150.0.7871.114 and Chrome for iOS 150.0.7871.113 last week. The Android version addresses the same vulnerabilities as the desktop versions. The Extended Stable Channel for Windows and macOS now includes Chromium version 150.0.7871.115.
The release of Chrome 151 is scheduled for the end of July.
