What if the imaginary worlds we created as children became real…and wanted us back by any means necessary? That is the chilling question at the heart of Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate, a brand new narrative video podcast from Geek & Sundry that blends the well-mannered world of Jane Austen with the cosmic horror of H.P Lovecraft.
Premiering on Monday, October 19 on Geek & Sundry’s YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts (and wherever you get your podcasts), Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate is an original eight-episode TTRPG actual play where Regency social drama confronts terrors beyond human comprehension. The series uses Chaosium’s Regency Cthulhu sourcebook for Call of Cthulhu to tell an ever-evolving, terrifying tale.
Who Stars in Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate?
Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate stars Paula Deming (Grey’s Anatomy, Things Get Dicey), Noura Ibrahim (Vampire: The Masquerade – LA By Night, Faster Purple Worm Kill! Kill!), Nicole Maines (Yellowjackets, Supergirl), and Oscar Montoya (Minx, Dimension 20). Ross Bryant (Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Improvised Shakespeare Co.), our esteemed Keeper of Arcane Lore, weaves a tapestry of horrors that will push our their collective sanity to the brink (and perhaps ours as well).
What Is Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate About?
Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate‘s particular brand of creeping dread unfolds in the English countryside in the autumn of 1816. This was a haunting period of real-world history known as The Year Without a Summer. Three siblings and their longtime family friend are summoned to the ominous Longford House estate to navigate an inheritance dispute.
Within its darkened halls, something far more terrible than posthumous paperwork rears its ugly head. And unfortunately for our heroes, its abyssal gaze fixed squarely on them. What follows is hilarious, heartbreaking, and haunting: expect Regency romance, occult rituals, dangerous family secrets, ballroom hijinks, and ineffable nightmares lurking on the edge of reality.
Where Can I Watch Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate?
Following the series premiere on October 19, new episodes of Sagas of Sundry: Darkling Gate will air each Monday. Then, each Wednesday, go deeper into the latest episode in Quests N Answers, a raucous roundtable with the cast to plumb the depths of the collective psychic damage they just took. All episodes will be available on Geek & Sundry’s YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts (and wherever you get your podcasts).
That’s all the information we can impart to you now, dear reader, lest you risk your fragile sanity as well. For more, stay tuned and on October 19, prepare to step through the Darkling Gate…
