Prime Day’s best OLED monitor deal is still here at $315 | usagoldmines.com

$315 — over $200 off

Acer Predator 27-inch OLED monitor

The best deal I found on OLED monitors on Amazon Prime Day week was an Acer Predator 27-inch, QHD design for $314.99. But Prime Day is over, and that deal is gone… at least on Amazon. Oddly, Walmart in the US is still selling the same model for the same price, $314.99, and you don’t need any sort of subscription to buy it. That’s the cheapest name-brand OLED on the market right now.

The Acer Predator X27U W1 hits the “sweet spot” for a PC gaming OLED at the moment, with a 2560×1440 resolution, speedy 240Hz refresh rate for competitive online games, a 1,000-nit peak brightness rating, and… that’s about it. This is definitely a “budget” OLED, which is becoming a thing I suppose. You do get two HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, plus a headphone jack for easily attaching speakers or a headset. And it does have a VESA mount if you want to add a monitor arm, which you should definitely do.

But don’t expect any extras like USB-C or even USB-A for extra gadgets. It doesn’t even have the requisite RGB lights on the back. This is an OLED upgrade, as cheap as it possibly comes, over $200 off the retail price. I’m also showing free shipping, a nice bonus. I have no idea how long this deal will stick around — presumably, only until someone at Walmart takes a peek at the Amazon and sees that it doesn’t need to match that price anymore.
