Share your calendar in Outlook to cut down on scheduling emails | usagoldmines.com

Rather than going back and forth over email about your availability for meetings, you can just share your calendar in Microsoft Outlook. It only takes a minute but can save you a lot of wasted time writing emails.

What to do:

  • In Outlook click on the calendar in the left panel to go to your calendar view.
  • Now select Share from the top panel and select your calendar. If you have more than one calendar, be sure that you’re selecting the correct one.
  • In the field type the email of the person you’d like to share your calendar with.
  • Now next to that box select the permission that contact has over your calendar. The first level is that they can simply view when you’re busy. Alternatively, you can allow them to see all the details or even edit your calendar.
  • Once you’re finished click Share. The recipient will get a sharing email to view your calendar with the level of permission you granted them.
