Clemson College’s largest school honored 10 college members for excellent instructing resarch, instructing, mentorship and collaboration in an Oct. 10 celebration held for the primary time on the rooftop venue on the Watt Household Innovation Heart.

These honored by the School of Engineering, Computing and Utilized Sciences have been: Andrew Neptune, Garrett Pataky, Emily Scribner, Jianhua “Joshua” Tong, Jon Calhoun, Mary Beth Kurz, Bryan Miller, Thomas Sharkey, Huijuan “Jane” Zhao and Brian Sales space.

“The college members honored right now are on the core of our school’s mission to create an distinctive pupil expertise, drive innovation and make a transformative influence throughout South Carolina and past,” stated the school’s dean, Anand Gramopadhye. “Their arduous work and dedication encourage us all. Byars Prize for Excellence in Instructing Engineering Fundamentals
Winner: Andrew Neptune, senior lecturer in Common Engineering

Murray Stokely Award
Winner: Garrett Pataky, affiliate professor of mechanical engineering
In regards to the award: Given to a college member who has demonstrated excellence in instructing engineering on the undergraduate and/or graduate degree.

Junior College Award for Excellence in Instructing
Winner: Emily Scribner, lecturer in environmental engineering and Earth sciences
In regards to the award: Acknowledges excellence in instructing on the undergraduate and/or graduate degree with an emphasis on the earlier two years and is reserved for college members with fewer than seven years in greater training.

McQueen Quattlebaum College Achievement Award
Winner: Jianhua “Joshua” Tong, professor of supplies science and engineering
In regards to the award: Acknowledges college accomplishments within the previous 12 months and distinctions and awards over the previous three years.

Junior Researcher of the Yr
Winner: Jon Calhoun, affiliate professor {of electrical} and pc engineering

Collaboration Award

Esin Gulari Management and Service Award
