The company behind the token in question just announced, in a joint venture with Securitize, a smart contract to allow holders of BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL to exchange their shares to Ripple for RLUSD.
Shortly after, popular analyst Ali Martinez outlined that XRP whales have gone on a buying spree as the asset experienced substantial volatility.
RLUSD to Securitize’s Tokenization Platform
The statement from both parties indicated that the new smart contract adds an additional stablecoin off-ramp for BUILD and VBILL tokenized short-term treasury funds. Both funds from the TradFi giants are their first tokenized products on public blockchains.
Ripple said the new smart contract allows holders of BUIDL and VBILL to instantly exchange their shares for its native stablecoin (RLUSD) 24/7, which could unlock additional stable, on-chain transfers. In other words, investors can “gain continuous exposure to RLUSD while preserving exposure to on-chain yield and a broader range of DeFi strategies, further driving utility, flexibility, and interoperability for tokenized assets.”
“RLUSD is for institutional use, offering regulatory clarity, stability, and real utility. As adoption grows, partnerships with trusted platforms like Securitize are key to unlocking new liquidity and enterprise-grade use cases,” commented Ripple’s SVP of Stablecoins, Jack McDonald.
This is the first official integration of Ripple’s stablecoin into Securitize’s platform, but both parties said they plan future collaborations. Securitize also plans to integrate with the XRP Ledger to expand access and bring new utility to its broader ecosystem.
XRP Whales Buying Again
Ali Martinez noted that XRP whales have been busy in the past five days, coinciding with the aforementioned statement, acquiring more than 470 million tokens (valued at over $720 million) within this timeframe. These large market participants have been quite active lately. As reported a week ago, they purchased over 1.5 billion tokens in the span of 96 hours.
XRP WHALES KEEP BUYING
In just five days, whales accumulated more than 470 million $XRP, worth around $724 million.
Meanwhile, an inverse head-and-shoulders continues to form on the daily chart.

Meanwhile, the native token has gone on a wild ride. It skyrocketed to $1.65 a few days ago, when it was brutally rejected and plunged to under $1.50 a day later. However, the bulls quickly returned and initiated another leg up on Friday to $1.56. As of now, XRP remains at around $1.55, but Martinez is still bullish on its future price performance.
He believes XRP has completed the right shoulder of a major inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the daily chart, but it needs to overcome the crucial resistance at $1.60 to aim at $2.00.
