Get ready, werewolves and gentleghouls, a brand-new season of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is coming your way. In season seven, premiering October 27, The Boulet Brothers will take their show to new heights of raw artistry, visceral glamor, and delicious horror. There will be shade thrown, blood spilled, and sheer nerve tested. In short, it’s going to be the most beautiful nightmare yet. To get you excited for this upcoming season, we at Nerdist have an exclusive clip from its opening episode. We can’t tell you exactly what the theme of the Floorshow will be… But we can give you a sneak peek at the drag artists’ fabulously twisted first looks and our panel of judges’ lovingly cutting commentary. And yes, that’s Scream Queen Rose McGowan at the judging table. Check out our exclusive clip from The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula season seven, episode one, below.
Let us all take a long pull of poppy in judgment together. It’s our first look at Dragula season seven’s post-Floorshow judging session, with Rose McGowan bringing a fair and morbidly hilarious set of insights to the table. Again, to know the exact challenge the artists were given, we’ll have to tune into season seven’s premiere. But what we can share is that the description for episode 7.01 reveals, “New monsters land in Oz, where daring challenges and familiar faces await.” And well, we do see The Boulet Brothers wearing emerald crowns that say “Oz” on them, a ton of poppies, and a flying monkey, so there you have it. The Wizard of Oz, we have to agree, is pretty horrifying if you think about it.

First up in our clip, we get to see returning drag performer Satanna’s first Floorshow look. Satanna is rocking a poppy field, blood, and some truly unsettling teeth. McGowan calls it psychedelic, even though one of the other artists would clearly like you to see that they think their poppy look is the best one of all. It’s shadesville already, and we love it. Satanna previously featured on Dragula Season 5, where she took 10th place after being exterminated in Episode 3. Has her drag this season evolved enough to get her further? Enjoy the clip and decide for yourself. (And we just have to say, snaps to Rose McGowan finding time to insult her dead ex in the mix as she tells us, “Just a true story.”)

Next, we meet Scythe, a brand-new drag performer to the world of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula. Scythe’s flying monkey-inspired drag is termed “yeti circus monkey, in a really cool way” and an excellent throwback to “freak show monkeys that used to be in circuses.” Scythe is rocking a “definitely original” look. And we have to agree. Scythe’s look is KILLING it. And it’s definitely one of our favorites so far, at least from what we can see in this The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula exclusive first-look clip.

When Does Dragula Season 7 Premiere? And Where Can You Watch It?
If you peer in closely to this sneak peek, you can catch glimpses of what the other performers have created for their first Dragula Floorshow. But for the full, delectably creepy picture, you’ll have to tune into The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula season seven when it premieres on October 27, streaming exclusively on Shudder and AMC+.
