Fort Harmony in THE BOYS, Explained: Its Ties to V-One and Vought Tai Gooden | usagoldmines.com

The fight against Homelander goes into full swing in The Boys season five’s third episode. Both Butcher’s team and Homelander’s crew discover that Soldier Boy didn’t die because he was injected with V-One, the original batch of Compound V. Only a few people, including him and Stormfront/Liberty, were able to endure it and thus became immortal. The supe killing virus cannot bond to it, and Soldier Boy is right back to looking like his normal self. The Boys know that Homelander will be on the hunt for V-One, so they seek out Stan Edgar for help. That journey reveals a lot about Compound V’s origins, and we discover what Fort Harmony’s importance is in The Boys universe.

Starlight leads them to Stan Edgar’s compound… well, almost all of them. Butcher is obviously not welcome, considering he killed Edgar’s daughter Victoria Neuman. Zoe is also quite angry and wants to kill Butcher. The crew dig into some old Vought files that Stan has, and MM discovers that many files from 1944 are encrypted but also point to Fort Harmony.

What Is Fort Harmony in The Boys Universe? Frederick Vought’s House of Horrors

It doesn’t take long for him to crack the code. In The Boys universe, Fort Harmony was an Army hospital where Frederick Vought worked. The government designated it top secret and decommissioned it after WWII. MM says that if there is any V1 out there, that would be the place to look.

Predictably, things go to s**t when Dogknott, the Deep, Black Noir (or whoever that is under the mask), and Cindy show up. The Deep takes Stan Edgar back to Homelander, who presumably is seeking him out for the same information. Stan did tell MM that he’s in a losing battle because capitalism will always win, and even said that he still plans to head Vought again one day. So he’s probably going to give up the information. It will be a race to see who can get there first, and the Boys are mostly losing.

Butcher ran off after Ryan, who confronted Homelander about his mother and was nearly beaten to death. Zoe found her father Sameer and told him the truth about Victoria’s death, so he destroyed all the supe killing virus stash. Annie is in her feelings and flew away somewhere. None of this is good.

We will certainly learn more about Fort Harmony in upcoming episodes of The Boys. And considering that Vought Rising will take place in the 1950s, we will get more insight into Fort Harmony, Compound V-One, and what horrors happened thanks to Frederick Vought.
