Rockstar Games, developer of Grand Theft Auto VI, just announced that the third trailer for the game will be released exclusively on Netflix. More than just your typical trailer, this event is titled “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” and will be available to stream on Netflix starting Thursday, August 27th at 3:00 PM Eastern.

What exactly will this “extended look” contain? That remains to be seen, as neither Rockstar nor Netflix have shed much light. However, going by the title, it seems to promise initial gameplay footage and an introduction to the various core gameplay elements within.

This isn’t the first trailer for GTA VI. Past trailers have been more akin to teasers, revealing very little about the game and focusing more on the vibe, the characters, and the game world. No actual gameplay footage of GTA VI has been officially shown yet.

Those past teasers were released back in December 2023 and May 2025, garnering nearly 300 million and 200 million views, respectively.

This unexpected collaboration with Netflix once again demonstrates that Grand Theft Auto has evolved into more than just a video game—it’s a pop culture phenomenon that must be celebrated with a special event. The trailer will be made available on YouTube a few hours afterwards.
