In the current market, the only crypto sector that gives us hope is RWA. And there is one clear-cut leader in RWA sector that has been outperforming every single altcoin. We have talked about it time and again. It is Ondo Finance. We are talking about Ondo again because the number of new $ONDO addresses rose by 390% on 11th March. For sure, this is not just a hype; this is the real deal. RWA is looking at a 1000x potential over the next 5 years. Larry Fink and BlackRock are big time believers and investors in RWA, and Ondo is a leader in the space.
In today’s video, let’s find out why this sudden surge in addresses? And why are we bullish on the Ondo Finance price for the rest of 2025.
What’s Cooking at Ondo Finance?
Ondo Finance ($ONDO) has a lot going for it. Here are some recent samples. For instance,
- Over the last two months, exchanges saw an inflow of over 100 million $ONDO tokens. It indicates that there’s some serious trading interest for $ONDO.

- The number of new $ONDO addresses rose by 390% on 11th March. From 935 addresses, it jumped to 4,559 addresses in 24 hours. That’s massive. It shows that demand for $ONDO is real. As a result, there was also a green $ONDO candle over the last couple of days.

- Over the last two months, Ondo Finance also saw a 50% increase in its TVL. That’s currently around $1 billion. Once more, these are impressive stats.

- Ondo Finance also expanded to the Stellar Network also known as Stellar Lumens. It does this with its $USDY stablecoin. Stellar is a payment hub. It enables small businesses and unbanked communities to access global finance. This move brings $10 million and yield potential to Stellar. Stellar users now get access for the first time to tokenized US Treasuries. That’s because $USDY is backed by high-quality short-term U.S. Treasuries.

The Ondo Chain
Last month, during the Ondo Summit in NYC, Ondo introduced its Ondo Chain. That’s because current chains don’t have the features that RWA chains need. For example, liquidity fragmentation or cross chain bridging risks. Meeting compliance demands is another issue.

As a result, Ondo decided to build their own chain. It’s a hybrid public permissioned chain. It can offer the compliance and security features of permissioned chains. However, it also has the openness of a public chain. Exactly what RWA chains need.
In other words, it offers all the features that institutions require. On the other hand, users still have open access. Although we’re not big fans of permissioned chains at Altcoin Buzz, in this hybrid set up, it makes sense for RWA. It offers the infrastructure for financial markets, being purposely built.

The $ONDO Token Price Action
Many big accounts on X are bullish on Ondo Finance and its $ONDO token. There are various other factors in play as well. For example,

- $ONDO is a ‘Made in USA‘ token. With a current pro crypto US government, that can be of importance.
- Trump’s DeFi platform World Liberty Financial holds $ONDO in its portfolio.
- Coinbase and Brian Armstrong are also entering the tokenization sector. Another indicator that big players are all in on RWA. You do remember the RWA market forecast for 2030, right? A potential 1000x is in the cards here.
Coinbase is making a big move into tokenized securities.
CEO Brian Armstrong hinted at renewed talks with regulators under the Trump administration, signaling a potential green light for tokenized assets in the U.S.

So, what does this mean for the $ONDO price? Currently, it’s 84 cents. That’s 60% down from its December 2024 ATH of $2.14. It has a $2.7 billion market cap, and 3.1 billion out of 10 billion tokens circulate. There’s also no token unlock scheduled for the next 11 months.
In the next leg up, a $7 to $10 price tag seems realistic to some. So, what are you waiting for? Ondo Finance ($ONDO) is the perfect RWA gem, on a serious fire sale right now.
