Paul Atreides Answers for His Crimes in DUNE: PART THREE’s Final Trailer Michael Walsh | usagoldmines.com

What do you get the man who has it all? A third film. That’s what director Denis Villeneuve is giving the Kwisatz Haderach with the final installment in his Dune trilogy. But an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune: Messiah is not all he has for the Muad’Dib. The latest trailer for Dune: Part Three makes clear that years of galactic genocide will come with a heavy price for the tyrant who became the very monster he once feared. And it will come from the person who loves him most.

Paul Atreides’ oppression of the galaxy and the countless lives he took will lead to him answering for his crimes in Dune: Part Three. But as this intense (and best) trailer reveals, taking out a man who can see into the future is not exactly easy. Here’s the film’s official synopsis from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures:

Dune: Part Three is set nearly two decades after Paul Atreides seized control of the Imperium. Now a ruthless Emperor, Paul must face the consequences of his reign as old allies return, terrifying new threats emerge, and betrayal lurks in every shadow. Haunted by visions of Imperial collapse and the reappearance of his long-lost love, Paul is drawn into a sweeping conspiracy, with Chani at the heart of its unfolding mystery. As enemies close in, Paul must confront the true cost of power and the fate of those he loves the most.

In addition to directing, Villeneuve co-wrote the script with Brian K. Vaughan. The film stars the Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach de Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Javier Bardem, and Robert Pattinson as the Face Dancer Scytale. The shape-shifter will pose the greatest threat to Paul’s reign.

Will Dune: Part Three give Paul Atreides exactly what he deserves? We’ll find out how this adaptation will end his story when the trilogy ends its big screen story on “Dunesday,” December 18, 2026.
