Swiftkey Copies Pixel 11’s Awesome Rambler Feature Kellen | usagoldmines.com

With the arrival of the Pixel 11 series, it’s clear now that the star of the launch is the new Rambler voice-to-text feature. We’ve talked about it a number of times now, but other new Pixel 11 owners are talking about it just as much.

Unfortunately, this is currently a Pixel 11 series feature and we have no idea if Google will ever bring Rambler to older devices, like the Pixel 10. It’s also somewhat unlikely that a Gboard updates will bring it to other Android phones, like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 or Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Swiftkey Beta gets Rambler AI Voice feature

Thankfully, there are 3rd party keyboards like Microsoft’s Swiftkey that are still attempting to innovate in the space and will bring new and similar features to the masses. As an example, the Swiftkey Beta on Android appears to have just picked up a new AI Voice feature that comes close to doing what Rambler does.

Swiftkey AI Voice - Rambler

The beta is live now on Google Play and I’ve successfully installed it on both Pixel 11 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 devices. Once you enable voice-to-text or voice typing, it’ll ask if you want to “Try voice with AI.” That’s the new AI typing feature that acts quite a bit like Rambler.

So in Swiftkey’s version, you tap on the voice-to-text icon and it starts listening for your voice. You can dictate long messages and it’ll remove the pauses (like “um” and “ahh”) and try to clean-up your speech, just like Rambler. Also like Rambler, it doesn’t show you words in real-time and instead waits until you finish speaking to process and present what you’ve said. It’s quick, although not as instant as Rambler can be.

Where it differs a bit is in the editing following a message. Rambler is pretty clever and smart about letting you quickly edit your words by voice, adding emoji to them or presenting a list of items. Swiftkey’s AI Voice cannot do any of that right now. This is just a voice-to-text feature that cleans up your longer messages.

We’re not quite to Google’s Rambler yet, but this also does work on non-Pixel 11 devices and could be worth a look for those curious about Rambler.
