The Devil Wears Prada 2 is bringing our favorite fashionistas back to the big screen on May 1. We’ve gotten a few trailers and many looks at the film’s returning cast but this CinemaCon footage is something that we’ve never seen before. Thanks to Disney, we have a closer look at what this sequel will entail.
Here’s a brief summary of the premise for The Devil Wears Prada 2:
Andy returns to Runway as Miranda Priestly navigates a new media landscape and Runway‘s position within it. They reconnect with another former assistant, Emily, who is now the head of a luxury brand that possesses funding which could ensure Runway‘s survival.
Before the footage, Anne Hathaway came on via video to celebrate returning back 20 years later. We see Miranda at a meeting talking about a vintage Mugler shoot and she’s not happy about it, calling the models “starving goats,” which doesn’t land. Another person at the table comes up with an idea involving a “bum bag,” and that doesn’t land either. We a few glamorous shots of all our returning characters before the brief clip ends.
