Sharing large files and large amounts of data has become increasingly simple thanks to cloud-based transfer services. Boomerang, a new transfer service from the co-founders of WeTransfer, is free to use and does not require registration. Without an account, users can send files with up to one gigabyte of storage, and downloads remain available for seven days.
Getting started with Boomerang is really easy. All you have to do is drag your files onto the homepage, add any additional files if needed, and click “Upload Files” to begin the transfer. Once the upload is complete, Boomerang sends a shareable download link. Simply select “Copy Link” in the top right-hand corner and send the URL to whoever you like.

Creating a free Boomerang account unlocks additional features, too. This includes the ability to create a personal file sharing zone (aka “Spaces”) and sending files up to 3 GB in size. Spaces allow you to organize and manage your transfers, including deleting files or adding new data. You can access and control all of your Spaces from the Boomerang dashboard.
In the dashboard, you rename Spaces or assign emojis to them. The paid Pro account costs just under $8 a month and offers additional protection features, 200 GB of storage space, files up to 5 GB in size, and download links that remain active for up to 90 days.
