Bzzz bzzz. It’s time for the Yellowjackets girlies to leave the Wilderness and return to their regular lives after over a year of chaos. Or… was it really their time? Yellowjackets season four is the final round where we will figure out how it all ends and if the Wilderness will beckon some back into its grasp or claim their lives decades later. The teaser trailer for Yellowjackets takes us into what it was like upon their return and promises a bleak future for those who are still living.
I’ll tell ya one thing. The soundtrack for Yellowjackets is one of the best things about the show. Using Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” is the perfect choice here as we see the girls try to adjust to normal lives. Their lives have been nothing but unthinkable chaos and mess far beyond what the average teen goes through. Of course, getting back into school and being with their loved ones is anything but easy because of what they’ve done and witnessed, which is far from the “heroic” accolades that the world is giving them. There’s even a question posed about if there is anyone else they should be looking for out there. Hmmmm. Is someone still alive? How was the team able to bury their many transgressions out there?
Nerdist’s Take: This Yellowjackets Season Four Teaser Reminds Us of How Much We Hate Shauna
We don’t see a ton of modern day footage, but we do see Shauna with a shotgun, which surely cannot be good. At this point, there aren’t many of them left standing after losing Van and Lottie last season. Is the secret to peace killing Shauna? Maybe. It would certainly make me feel better because she’s horrible. We will have to wait and see what happens when Yellowjackets lands on Paramount+ on November 20.
