Zendaya is one of the hardest working and beloved Hollywood stars right now. This year alone, she stars in several blockbuster films, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Odyssey, and Dune: Part Three, as well as other projects. And, thanks to her creative partnership with fashion designer Law Roach, she’s one of the most stylish women in the business, too. A while back, Zendaya said she was taking a break in 2027 to simply enjoy life, but it looks like she won’t be on vacation all year long. Variety reports that Zendaya will star in Alex Garland’s currently untitled sci-fi film at A24.Â
As we know, Zendaya is no stranger to A24 projects. She starred in The Drama as well as Euphoria, which was partially produced by the company. And, she will also lead A24’s Ronnie Spector biopic, which is currently in development. Plot details for the Zendaya and Alex Garland’s A24 are still under wraps, but filming is set to start in 2027. Of course, that could mean that they start in late 2027 and that pre-production will be going on for a while.
Nerdist‘s Take: Zendaya Is Excellent in Sci-Fi, and We Encourage Her to Get to the Money
Honestly, we can’t blame her for striking as the iron is hot. She’s very in-demand and, at just 30 years old, she’s in her prime to crank out project after project if she wants to. Zendaya and her husband Tom Holland are raking in lots of dough together, so maybe they want to keep stacking cash so they can eventually take a five year break and chill on an island. Or whatever uber rich people do. Either way, we are excited to get more details about this project.Â
